  • pleaaaseee help!!!!k1 visa concern........

Good day i am so very confused with the fiancee visa process....our story goes like this....im from the Philippines then i meet my fiancee at the CB site he was here last May 2006 and when he got back from MD, USA he started processing the petition ....then 2 months after it was approve in the USCIS then forwarded it to the NVC just 4 days he got a notice that said it was approved and the petition was being forwarded to the embassy here Manila and just 1 1/2 month we checked on the US Embassy website to see if i already had a scheduled luckily i did my Medical exam will be this coming March 5,2007 and my interview will be this coming March 12,2007 and until now i didnt get any packet from the Embassy.....and im so so confused what to do. what are the things i needed to comply. but what bugs me the most is that in my USCIS form i mistakenly put the dates of my employment record.....my question are.
    1. would it really matter about my employement background in here?
2.will they call my employer?and if they found out that i lied about my employent records would it be the grounds for the denial of my fiancee visa?
pleaaseeeeeeeeee help me lighten up my mind im so so scared.......

I was not checked, in terms of employment background. Yet I would not recommend you to lie in any point of this process. Nor in the AOS, they can always get you back!

Your employment record is of no concern to the interviewing officer. He or she is looking for marriage fraud so will test you on your meeting and sincerity and to make sure your documents are all there. They will not verify your work background. You should call the embassy if you are unsure about having all your docs together otherwise you will be required to come back at a future date. Don't buy an airline ticket until you have your visa in your passport.
