  • I-129F, translations of documents requirement! (Emergent!!)

I have some questions regarding the translation requirements on i-129F (K-1).

    A) Since I need to submit the proofs of our relationship in the past 2 years such as emails, letter, cards, etc, and they are in foreign languages. Do I need to ask someone else who is certified to translate everything for me or I can translate everything by myself and get the notary?

    B) If I want to submit pics as proofs, but there is no date on the right hand corner, can I just stick them on a paper, and write below the pics the date, place, and the names of those people on those pics?

    C) Since I am a naturalized US citizen, when submitting I-129F, besides the copy of the orginal certification of naturalization, do I need to submit the copy of the new passport I applied after I got naturalized? or I can submit the copy of the old one which is not expired either. Or, there is no need to submit the copy of the passport?

I know people here have more experience than me, so please help me with these questions above. I really appreciate!!!

Photos don't establish dates and neither do letters. Better to show the entry stamps in your passport to show when you were last in her country. Don't bother translating letters.. only the required documents such as birth certificates and prior marriage/divorce decrees need to be translated. Either passport from you will suffice so will your naturalizaton papers...you're just showing that you're a USC.

You don't need to translate them unless they were written in a very strange language that only you and your beloved could understand it. You need post mailed letter with dates, any receipts from hotels/resorts where you stayed while you were in her country, pictures of you and her together or maybe together with her family and yes, photocopy of your passport that has stamped of date of entry when you travelled to her country and don't forget proof of "financial support" like Western Union receipts which is in most cases have been used by many. And good luck!
