fiancee visa petition filing in another center instead of the area youre in

Just to speed up the petition process, is it okay to file it at another center which is not under your area. say if i am supposed to be filing at Nebraska ,because i live in Washington, but i rather file in California or in Vermont, will that be okay? Thanks for any comments.

The only way you can file in another office is to use an address within that jurisdiction. I know someone who used a freind's address so they could file in a different office - they got away with it Vermont used to be the fastest but now, I don't know now. In my own case I was living overseas when I filed and used my overseas address but filed in the jurisdiction of my last US address. The application got bounced by the contractors who are paid to open and sort the mail. I never got the packet returned to me so had to start from scratch. In my case they just opened it, looked at the zip code (not paying attention to the fact it was an foreign zip code) and rejected it.
When I refiled, I used my last US address so the same thing didn't happen all over again.
