K1 Visa vs. K3 Visa

need your inputs on this.

I entered the US with an L1 visa and am staying here for 2.5mos as I was assigned for Intra Company Transfer by my company in Houston.
Before leaving my country (Philippines), my boyfriend, who is a US Citizen and I were contemplating of going to the next level as he had proposed marriage.. the sudden twist of being here made me think of doing it here while I'm at it, and having another one when I get back in my country -

After doing much research, I am now faced with a dilmema..

1) Get married in Houston, apply for I-130 and all other requirements, go back to my Country and apply for K3
2) Do my work, go back to my country, apply for a K1 Fiancee Visa, wait and come back here.

I really need your inputs on this.

I'm thinking though, since I need to get back to my country after the project assignment here (around mid May 07), I'd let my fiancee do the paperworks on that.. he's in the Philippines right now for a visit and will be coming here end of April..

do you think that will work?
