My wife called me with the good news that her interview at the US embassy in Manila went well and she should be receiving her visa in the mail in about a week. She went to the interview armed with a thick stack of e-mails, phone bills, cards, pictures and other evidence of our relationship but was only asked to show part of it before they had seen enough proof. Our I-130 was sent out on Sept. 1, followed by our I-129F on Sept. 25th, so the process took about 6 months through the Vermont office. None of the questions asked of my wife today were difficult and included when we met and if either of us had been married before. I hope this helps anyone now anxiously waiting to be reunited with their spouse.

Sharafat, I never went through the K-1 process, only the K-3. The DS-230 form is part of the K-1 process I believe. The only DS forms needed by my wife and I were DS 156 and 157 and those were submitted at the end of the Visa process. I have no information on the DS-230 forms.Originally posted by sharafatComment
