The consular office in Guangzhou says they have our file and case in their electronic system but that it may take several months before they recieve our physical records.
This seems absurd. I can't understand that it should take them several months to recieve a package. It only takes me 10 days to send a package to my wife and she lives in a very remote corner of the PRC near Burma.
We need them to have all the records before we can send in our "Packet 3" forms and apply for a consular interview.
Does anyone have an opinion or information as to why there should be such a long wait?
