Name change from maiden name on I130?

Hi everyone,
I am about to go to India to get Married (Court and Hindu style). I have registered our marriage on my previous trip and would be getting marriage certificate in respective names (With Brides maiden name).

My bride is also getting her passport in her maiden name.
Once I come back with the marriage certificate to US I will be filing I130 followed by K3 (so my bride can come to US asap).

Now here is the question. If my bride wants to take MY surname (different from her maiden name) what should be do in India (change marriage cert? indian passport?) and what needs to go on the I130 and following US documents.

Any help will be much appreciated.

well you have to get the marrige certificate under ur sur name for ur wife and when u file i 130 use her name after marrige . there is a opetion in I 130 where they ask you for her maiden name as well. so its not a big deal as long as u have the names correct in marrige certificate.

If you already have the marriage certificate with her maiden name registered dont try change it because it will be very painfull to get all things in time. But if she's got your surname in marriage certificate and her other documents contain her maiden name say to her change this for the married name right now. If you dont change it in the future it will be a big mess and problem.

I have not recieved the marriage certificate yet. I will remember that. What documents do you think need to renamed besides passport?
