Long process

My fiancee went to interview in bogota july 2006. she was extremely nervious and so she blew the interview now our file has been sent back to state dept for review. i geta letter in september 2006 stating that received paperwork back for review and I have not heard anything since then. I have been back to Colombia twice.

I have made appointments with USCIS and they just keep telling me that the paperwork is being reviewed.

Is there anyhting that can be done to see what the hold up is.

First I would try to get to the bottom of what occurred during the interview which caused the rejection. Was it her specific response to a question or maybe just her entire demeanor during the interview which gave the interviewer cause for doubt? Did she come armed with plenty of proof to validate your relationship? Perhaps you should think about contacting the office of your local state representative or senator. You've waited a long time as it is and it sounds like just waiting for them to take action in Colombia isn't working.

hi, i am also waiting for vermont to review my case. everytime i call, they contradict them selves and send me letters with the wrong information. i don't know if it happens to you too, but it is crazy. what i have been going through is inhuman. i think what they are doing is an abuse of authority. i already spent all my savings trying to solve this problem,but this system is totally against us the immigrants.
please. if you solve your situation sooner than me, please let me know. i would do the same if it happens the other way around. thanks.
