My wife will be leaving from Manila in late April to join me in the US. She received her K-3 Visa, hand-delivered by Delbros this past Monday, then flew to Manila to attend the required day-long spousal abuse seminar this week. For anyone who has ever been at this point in their journey, I would like to know what she can expect at the airport in Manila and also when she gets off the plane in the US. In Manila, does she have to visit a special counter on departure? Knowing that place's reputation, will they be looking for some cash as well? Any firsthand experiences are welcome.

Originally posted by DaytonaFiremedicCongrats !!!! Me and my wife are back in Daytona , Thank you Lord , LOL. I can tell you what to expect. After you get the BS sticker and seminar out of the way from CFO , and you got plane ticket, she goes to airport, she has to pay Traveler Tax for Filipinos. Its a 1,620 peso fee , then she still has to pay the 750 exit tax that they charge everybody. It used to be 550 but they raised it lol. Then depending where she goes first , she will surrender her visa pack to customs. We went to Guam first , and we went through the customs booth , the guy opened the pack and entered some stuff in computer , asked my wife her address in United States. They kept all the documents , . Oh , on the plane we filled up a I-94. Its just a brief card . Customs stamps it and staples it into her passport. That was it , we got to the States and just presented her passport and they stamped the entry stamp on the first visa page and we are here LOL. Good luck , let me know what happens or if you need help.
