Processing Time at Vermont (Canadian Fiance)

Hello all,

I found this forum very helpful and a good way to relax my mind from all the stress regarding the Fiance visa. So I wanted to let you know our processing time (so far).

March 12, 2007 - send petition for Fiance Visa
March 13, 2007 - Vermont Center Received it
May 10, 2007 - got approved petition

Now we're waiting for the National Visa Processing Center in NH to send the documents to the Montreal Consulate. In the meantime, we are gathering police certificates and other necessary documentation. I will keep you posted on what happens next.

Could you tell me if you called the VSC to expedite the approval for K-1 petition. I send a petition for my fience for K-1 to California Service Center on Feb. 23rd, 2007 and the received it on Feb. 26th, 2007 but no approval so far.

Any help will be appriciated from anyone.

My fiance (american citizen) has called to check the status of our case, but not to expedite the process. They will only expedite the process if you have an emergency.

Does anyone know how long it takes from the approval notice till the interview date in Montreal?

Same problem here

My fiances processing date for her i-129F is March 13th, 2007. She lives in India. I havent heard anything about her case either. The processing dates for both Vermont and CA service centers are the same looks like. So I am not sure why someone in Vermont center already got the approval and the case forwarded to NVC and someone in CA center did not....Any insights if the processing times differ depending on the country of residence of the fiance??
