Financially Able?

I make good money, near 6 figures, but hardly ever have extra money in my account due to spending it all, sometimes I have insuffecient funds fees. I have no savings. I met my Romanian girlfriend through friends, fell in love and dont want her to move back. We decided that we want to continue the relationship and are persueing a K1. I'm concerned over my past speding habits and was wondering if it will prevent us from being married. Also, heard they will contact my employer to verify employment. Who will they talk to, my Manager? Or HR? Also, if I've been written up due to disciplinary problems in the past, will that affect the Visa?
