  • approved!! question

I have a question, my Fiancee was approved and she is coming to US. now they said she has 90 days to marry me. I would like to know is the 90 days when she moves to US or when she got her visa approved? Because she was to stay in japan a little longer and then fly to her country to be with her family for 2months.

I think 90 days is the time after your fiancee arrive in USA as far as I know. Anyway how long it takes for whole process for your fianccee to get visa once u file peition. I aslo just filed for my fiancee from California service center. Thanks.

They should make it 6 months minimum instead of the 90 days. Goodluck
But you DO have 6 months (from the visa issue date) until you absolutely have to enter the US.....and then another 90 days to get married.....I wouldn't call that "having to drop everything", isn't almost 9 months until the marriage enough time....?

Question: would it be a problem if we can only show signed marriage certificate in USA but we have never had a wedding party during I485 interview?

I still don't see that it's such a big problem. Many preparations could be done from abroad already, and isn't the most important thing that you can finally get legally married after all the waiting for the visa, etc.? Who would want to wait another 6 months until the wedding
(By the way, I got married 16 days after entry.....)

No, as long as you have other proof of a bona fide marriage (e.g. joint accounts, utility bills in both names, insurances, photos of the two of you, etc.)
