Want to get married in the US

Hi,

I need some advice.

I sponsored a friends B-2 tourist visa so that she could visit the US for 6 months. She has been here 4 1/2 months and we are madly in love. We didn't plan on this it just happened. We want to get married here in the US.

I'm a US citizen - born and raised here.

Is it really necessary for her to have to return home and apply for a finance visa then wait 6 months to return?

What happens if we just get married here? Is that possible?

Would the fact that I sponsored her be an issue?

We truly want to be together and will wait if necessary.

I'm trying to determine what our options are.

She is from the Philippines.

Does the fact that I sponsored her make a difference? We are really worried about that.

Yeah... they messed up her visa and she to fly back to the embassy to get it corrected.

Anyway... that's behind us now...

Other than completing the necessary forms is there anything else we know?
Are there interviews? What's the process like?
