K3 and Medical

Can anyone tell me how long the K3 visa takes? I am a UK citizen married to a US citizen -we have been married 16 years and have 3 children. I am of totally good character, not even a speeding fine.

Also, are applicants ever refused on medical grounds (other than the obvious contagious diseases etc?) I have a few minor health issues (High BP but well controlled by medication) - could I be refused on this?

I meant, of course, not even a parking ticket. Speeding much more serious!
