  • I 29F Question

I filled for a I29F visa last July, I recieved my conformation and am waiting furthor contact. My question is after reading many threads at this site is. I filled out all the gorms correctly (I29F & G-325A's) included the correct pictures and mailed it all off.
I have noticed on these threads that proof of us meeting should have been included, proof of divorce and a cover letter. No where on the origanal form was proof asked for except an explanation on line 18 of the I29F, which I supplied. They also did not ask for proof of divorce or a cover letter.
Am I looking at delays or complications due to this?

    I129F Proof documents.

Read carefully the instructions to the I129F form provided on the USCIS website. Follow them carefully item by item; the answer to your question is there.

      oops!

Ok I did not supply three items they have asked for on the initial request. (My birth cetificate, divorce papers, proof of meeting & letter of intent to marry)
The whole process is only three months along, is there ayway to amend what I origanally sent in and get the rest of the papers to them before they process or will I be denied and have to start all over again?

              Wait for an RFE

Hi! I think, you just wait for an RFE (request for further evidence) if you think that you did not submit all the documents completely.

You have submitted your Divorce Documents and other proof of meeting.

Don't worry, having an RFE is not really bad.

              Good luck!

Doesn't the whole process get delayed and put back another 6 months when they ask for an RFE?

Not 6 months. Maybe 1 or 2 months, depends on the promptness of your response to the RFE also.

                    Thank You PraetorianX1,
I send off the supporting documents overnight mail with a nice letter asking them to put them with my file, maybe I will get lucky and avoid RFE request. What really burns me is I went on the advice of the local USCIS office where I picked up my papers, the lady told me all I needed to do was fill out the I29F & G325 & Pictures and send it all off. I even went back to her when I had them filled out and she said looks good, so I mailed it off.
