  • K-1 fiancee visa interview

    Hi
    I have a question:
My fiancee went for her interview 3 weeks ago for a k-1 fiance visa.At the end of the interview she was told they would call her over the phone with an answer. No documents were given to her indicating there was a rejection or denial of her visa. They kept all her documents, including birth certificate, marriage certificate and all the evidence (Photos) phone calls etc.)
We have an attorney and all documents seem to be in order. At least nothing was said to her indicating that there was missing documents. We are both free and willing to get married, and we have not comitted any fraud in any way.
Can any one tell me what could be wrong with this scenario and why the delay?
I have e-mailed the embassy and the said that they will forward the message to the consular officer reviewing our case.Do you think she has being denied after all?

    God Bless.

Probably the officer needed to consult with the supervisor or forgot to update your file. Just wait a few weeks and if nothing has happened contact the Consulate again.

Thanks.I am just a little nervous because it would be just ridiculous to denied or to reject a family based visa petition to anyone, just because at the interview the person had some trouble remembering or answering some of the questions, and if the person has being honest about it and did not lied or made up any kind of stories," I don't know or I don't remember" are acceptable answers and a person should not be denied or rejected her or his visa if this is the case.
Just think for a moment,it does not matter how much two people love each other, and how well they know each other, how can it be possible for them to know everything, and remembered everything about each other?Just mentioned someone that has never being nervous, when going through one of these interviews? Very few,I am sure. I am sure these people at these embassies are not stupid and I am sure they know this would be almost impossible, but they just don't see it that way and always tried to find the way to make things difficult. For some reason they always think that everyone is trying to take advantage of the system, when in reality some people do,but others like myself don't.Sorry but that is the way I feel.
It also seems to me that not all consular embassies processed these visas the same way. Some will give an answer the same day, others don't.We just have to live with it and play the "waiting" game.

      Thanks again for your response.

      God Bless.
