I am trying to file I-129F Fiancé Petition. I have spent many hours trying to get every thing correct.
I called USCIS and spoke with agent to verify the correct fee and mailing address and mailed per the Instructions that came with
the I-129F form and confirmed by your agent. the instructions and the agent said If I lived in Michigan to mail to the Nebraska Service Center
which I did. It was returned today saying I mailed to the wrong service center and should have been mailed to the Dallas Texas Center.
This caused me to loose at least 6 weeks. I just now looked up the forms and directions on the net again only to find the instruction sheet changed.
and it states that this form should be filed at the California Service Center. How am I supposed to know what is correct so I do not loose another
6 weeks or more. I also have not been able to get a straight answer as to how long this process is going to take. I have heard from 3 months to 2 years. I would be very thankful for any assistance and information you can provide.
