On 12/6/07 we recieved the letter that Our I129F application had been approved and was beinf forwarded to the NVC center. Today 1/4/08 I recieved the letter that our petition had been approved by the NVC center and was being forwarded to the appropriate visa issueing post where the interview will take place. (Bangkok)
They metioned that my fiancee will recieve her packet from the consular sections on how to apply for the K1visa and what documents will be required.
I have a couple of questions, she lives in Chiang Rai way up north and there is an embassy in Chiang Mai which is very close, why would they not send it there?
They have also not asked me for any additional information like income etc, will they?
I am going back there at the end of the month any chance we can arrange her interview at that time or are they unflexable?
For all of you curious as to the time frame of all this, I filled the petition with the Clifornia office on July 27th 2007. I actually forgot to send a bunch of info originally and ended up sending it with a real nice letter asking it to be added to my fill. So somebody must have done that or my application would have never been approved with the info I left out. I wish I knew who it was at the CA office as I would have sent them a thank you letter.
