How Long for Application Confirmation

Hi there: We sent our Fiance Application to Vermont, from Texas, on November 27, 2007. To date, we have not received any word as to whether or not they have received it, opened it or whatever. My fiance sent a money order for filing fees, not a cheque that we could track through our bank account to see if it has been negotiated or not.

Any ideas how long they are taking?

Like you I filed my fiancee's petition with Vermont with a money order. Mine was received on Nov 16th. The notice NOA1 was dated Nov 19th and I received it on Nov 24th.
It doesn't seem right that this first step would take so long.
They have kept me up with weekly updates. Have you registered with USCIS to receive periodic updates? It's easy and helpful.They sent me updates on the very same subject.
I don't understand why you haven't received your NOA1 since they have been current with sending the receipt notices for more than a month.

Application Confirmation

Other than the 1-800 number is there an email address we can email to find out if they have even received our application?

I cannot call the 1-800 number from Canada.

trudy! we have same issue. i just called up uscis this morning and was told to wait couple weeks more. they have so much backloads and trying to catch up by end of this jan. my money order is not even cash yet.

Celestial8880. I am not glad to hear that you are in the same situation as I am but it is good to know that information. Thank you so much.

My friend here in Canada and her fiance from Phoenix sent their application to California and within a week their cheque was cashed and they have received notification of receipt, I was getting worried.

We sent a registered letter to USCIS in Vermont to ask if they have received our package or not. Hopefully that will help matters or else we will be sending another application at the end of this month.

Fiance Application

how long is the processing from toronto?

My fiance is going to send his petition for a finacee visa tomorrow Feb 4,2008.How long does it take to process from appplication to approval in Toronto?I'm here in Canada under a work permit..would my situation create any kind of problem or denial? i was recently denied for a visitor's visa to U.S.Anyone please?..I'm new to this forum and I am so glad i found this...

Application Approval

My fiance just called USCIS this morning, Feb.4/08. Our application, sent Nov. 27/07, has not been entered into the system yet. The rep there told him to wait until the beginning of March to check again. They are that far behind with the amount of applications they have received. Once it is entered into the system it can take up to 8 months for the processing of same. sigh.

I sent the I-129F for K3 about ten days back and I already got the NOA1 in mail. I could see the number appear online status as well. You have to check since something seems to have gone wrong. Sorry about that.

Hey all!
Hope everything working good for you. I filed my I-129F for my wife and was received by USCIS on Jan 30, 2008.
Can anyone tell me how long will it take before i receive the NOA1 receipt.
Also after receiving the NOA1 how long will it take to receive the NOA2.
