My fiance'e worked in Lebanon, for three years as a nanny. Her employer would not allow her to go to the police station to get her police certificate because he didn't keep her work visa current.He told her she could be arrested if she went,and that the police might do terrible things to her. My fiance'e is a Filippina widow who went to Lebanon to support her four beautiful children. Her interview is on Feb. 9,08. in Manila. Can she get her visa without a police cert? Lebanon, is one of the few countries where you have to show-up in person to get your cert. Has anyone of you had a similar experience? What can I do!? Time is running-out! I've tried calling the embassy in Manila, but couldn't get through.
