To Whom It May Concern:
I am trying to get some information on how my current boyfriend (we are planning to get married within 6 months or so) and I can both be in the U.S. and working. I have looked through the fiance and K-1 and K-3 visa information, but I find it somewhat confusing and hard to tell how long each visa will take & if he will be able to work when he gets here, whether or not we are married or simply engaged.
We would simply like to live together & both be working & will get married, but don't have plans currently set regarding a date or location. Is this possible or will the U.S. visas take too long to get? Currently, it wouldn't be before October or November of 2007 before he comes here, depending on his current military commitment. I might get to see him/spend time with him for a week here & there while he is on leave, but don't want to wait until the last minute, because after he gets out of the army we plan to live together.
