Visiting US during the application process...

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you guys would know about the visiting rights after submitting K-1 Visa. Can I come to US for a month's vaca for example, or do I need to stay in my country until I get my visa?

You will probably be denied entry. There are no "rights". Even having a visa does not guarantee any right to enter the US, only to apply for entry.

Some people have succeeded on visitor visas or VWP, but they are the exception, not the rule.

Thanks for the reply. If after applying the K-1 visa, I'm not allowed to come to US with the VWP (as I'm currently doing), is my fiancee allowed to visit me though?

Why cannot I visit US as now, while waiting for the K-1... It doesn't make any sense.

yes, your fiancee can visit you at any time.

you can not expect to use Visa Waiver Program or visitor visa because you have declared IMMIGRANT intent... by filing for a K-1 so you can go to the USA and LIVE there... that is why using such program or visas becomes hard.
