  • 2nd Receipt Notice for I-129F

    Hello All!

Wish you all best of luck with your visa processes. I was wondering if anyone can guide me that how long does it take to receive the second receipt notice for I-129F (K3).

My first receipt has a date for 1/31/2008 and now I am awaiting my second receipt. Does anyone know how long it will take.

I have posted a thread earlier but received no reply at all.

    Thanks

      receipt

      Hey Bethy,

I filed my case at Vermont. So when did you file your I-130. It seems like they have speed up the process cause it was very slow at my time and took me 2 1/2 months to get my first receipt. But it seems like they are moving along fast. Hopefully you will get your receipt soon.
Where did you hear it takes 3 weeks to 2 months to get the second receipt.
I wish you all the best.

        Receipts

I mailed my I-130 Jan. 24 and I see today onthe USCIS website they are issueing receipts today for forms received Jan 27th so I shall have my reciept with a week. Seems like they are processing 3 days of applications in one business day. I've been keeping tracking of the receipt process for the past 2 1/2 weeks.
Best of luck let me know of your progress: [email protected]

So Nayagam, where are you in your process. have you filed the i-129 and how long do you say the second notice for i-129f takes to come.

Also i was curious when do they update the site for processing dates as it shows the last ones updated for i-129f are july 19th, and the website was updated on january 15th. I am assuming that feb 15th the website would be updated so we can see how many months are they covering in a one month time frame.

I filed I-129F around 20th January and got the NOA1 within ten days. This is to Vermont service center. I have no idea how long the second notice would take about. I was told the overall process is about 8 - 10 months.

Naygam i wonder where you heard the 8-10 month process. According to my understanding its about 6 months process. Which country is your spouse from. Once second notice received it depends on your country processing time. Well good luck with your case

                  Vermont Processing times

                  Hey all,
I sent my petition Nov 16 and I had my first NOA receipt on Nov 24.
About 3 months ago when I sent my I129 F the processing time posted for Vermont was 6 months.
I received weekly updates through automatic USCIS website email informing of the progress made on the receipts.
The next time I checked on the processing time about a month later the Dec 15 monthly update processing time progress showed June 18th, thus showing the time frame for the applications being just completed the same as 6 months.
Now the Jan 15th update shows July 19th which is again 6 months.

So I anticipate waiting a total of 6 months from the time of my first receipt which puts my second receipt on about the middle of May.
That's all the hope I can offer and wishes of good progress as well as a strong dose of patience to all.
But in the mean time my fiancee is preparing all her documents to make sure she'll be ready for the interview as soon as we have received the NOA2.
                  J-L.

From what i read,as of Feb 12 it would take 101 days (average days) between 1st I-129F NOA and 2nd I-129F NOA

                      I 129f Noa 2

                      Thanks Myrah,
where did you read the Info? People's current testimonies or official gov. sources?
One can't be sure because even the USCIS writes that their dates might not reflect a true time table.
                      Thanks.
                      JL.

                        Noa2

                        Hi All,

Based on the info I received from USCIS real officer, they are working on July for i-129f and if you filed in january as i did, so it may take upto 5-6 months for the noa2 to arrive.

I'm not sure if this may help anyone but i wanted to give you people a little clue to calculate your time.

I hope thats the maximum time the officer ment cause thats a long time.

                        wish you all good luck
