fiance visa approval

I just receive my i-797 approval letter from uscis for my fiance visa petition. They state that they have forwarded the case to the listed consulate and if I have any questions about visa issuance, to contact that consulate. I'm wondering because isn't the NVC suppose to get my case before it goes to the consulate abroad?? NVC doesnt have any info on my case, It looks like uscis forwarded it straight to the consulate? I need to know what I should do or even if I have to worry..Please advise.

You can direct your concern directly to the NVC at [email protected]. Lately, I'm not getting any response from the NVC either. However, their website is intact and makes no mention of if they are being bypassed as a bureaucratic unnecessity.

Between 2005 and 2007, things seemed to be on a roll. CIS was drastically reducing it's processing times, NVC was promptly responding, and believe it or not, even the Wild West consulates it seemed were beginning to learn A, B, C of the Law (or something besides yee haw); but in 2008 the dog days seem to have returned - is it due to over-immigration concerns in a time of recession?
