Does anyone know the specifics to the hardship clause that is in the application for the k-1 visa. Is it just for cultural restrictions on bride/groom meeting or does it encompass more like, hardships of work allowing leave to go meet, or financial hardship the trip would cause, etc.

If anyone has experience in this, please let me know I am very much interested.

Financial hardship may be the last excuse you want to use because if you can't afford a visit, how could you be expected to afford a life together?

Yes, law allows waiver of many legal requirements, but once visas are being denied after meeting all of the legal requirements, what do you think the odds are if you are even lacking on legal requirements, at least on consulate's end.

ALWAYS keep things simple. If a requirement asks for a meeting within 2 years of filing, just meet it, instead of fighting it. And how would you demonstrate your intent to marry within 90 days of her arrival if the two of you have never met?

I had visited my fiancee TWICE (a month apart before and after filing petition) in Europe and her visa was denied for "No proof of relationship."

Same for petitioners complaining about the petition filing fee or how to get it waived. Basically, you're paying for a socialist service at capitalist prices.

Amir, did you ever fix the "no proof of relationship" thing to get your fiancee here?
