  • Problem with 129f

    hello everyone,

    I need your help.

On question 18 of the form it ask how u met. well, I had a person at this center that helps u with these forms type it for me.
They type the wrong statement- on it it says i was introduce to her by family friend when she was studying here in USA as a foreign exchange student.
I was the wrong statement I did not even catch it until i ask for a copy so i can send it to her for her records while she is waiting for interview date with the US embassy in vietnam.

The correct statement that was to be type was the : we were both introduce by a family friend while they were visiting from out of state on vacation. and that we been in contact via email and talking over the phone

Is there anyway to correct it before the interview date because I don't want her petition to be deny or closed on the account of the error on there. Also, I heard that I won't be able to sponsor over once the case is closed and it has been flagged

Q1. Did the two of you meet when she was in the US as an exchange student?

Q2. Did the preparer sign the petition as a preparer?

      Amir,

      1. we did not meet here in the USA and she never came here as a foriegn exchange and it does not match the answer in question 11 because it was check off as (NO) as the fiance has never been to USA
2.no the person did not sign the preparer section I think the were not certified becasue the processing center was setup at a travel agency and was only used to help fill out the form and said was not responsible for mistakes.

If you haven't received a Notice of approval, mail to the CIS service center a notorized letter describing in detail (1) the actual circumstance of your meeting, (2) how the mistake came about, and (3) point out answer to Q.11 -- all in a little more detail and more clearly than you did here.

If you have received a Notice of Approval, I would probably file an I-824 Amended Petition to get it corrected before the case reached the consulate.
