  • Letter of Intent

My attorney submitted my I-129F in January. However, he did not ask me for a letter of intent from my fiancé. Will this cause a delay in my case? Is there a way to submit this document now to prevent any delays?

You can mail a letter of intent with NOR to your CIS service center.

I-129F asks for a LOI from beneficiary as well. Attorney may have missed it because typically it is consulate that deals with beneficiary (CIS deals with petitioner).

      Re: Letter of Intent

My letter of intent was included with the I-129F. However his was never asked for. Do I still need to send his letter of intent to the USCIS or just have him take it to the interview with him in Rio de Janeiro? Thanks Amir.

If you've received a Notice of Approval, don't worry about it because file's probably been forwarded to the NVC. Just be sure to take it to visa interview.

If you haven't received a Notice of Approval, either mail it in with a copy of Notice of Receipt, or wait to see if the CIS asks for it, and then mail it in. Your call.
