Question about NOA 2 Beneficiary A#

To all the nice Immihelp wizards!

On my NOA2 received this AM, Under my name and INS reg A#, I noticed that my fiancee, the beneficiary was assigned a similar Alien Reg. #
Isn't that a little early in the process? I never saw it mentioned anywhere before...
Anybody can shed any light on the subject, please?

I have tried a little research, but haven't come up with anything.

The A3 is issued for INS to keep track of cases, rather petition is approved or denied, I found on forum from 1993.

It's normal, at least in K visas.

Thank you! I thought this was the case, but wasn't sure. It makes sense, of course.
Amir, I have followed with great interest your postings on the abuses of power of some of the conofs.
I too had some negative experiences a long time ago with the office in Washington DC. They didn't forward my request for a year extension to the Paris embassy when I had to go back to France. Fortunately, it turned out to be alright in the end.
