What to do??

Hi -
I am a us citizen married to a British Citizen & he is in the US. He entered in on the visa waiver, and then we got married & now his time has expired, we filed on the "Fee Waiver" that was in Jan 08 - still havent received a receipt notice, I have called USCIS several times and they still do not have it in their system, what should I do? we really need a work visa, is there any other way to get a work permit, or should I refile and send the Fee, or do you think they are just that far backed up? Has anyone else ever used the "Fee Waiver"?

What forms did you file and where did you send them to?

we filed all the paper work the whole adjustment package and sent it to the Chiacgo lockbox on Jan 4th 2008 & still havent received the receipt notice...

for an AOS application you must submit an Affidavit of Support (I-864) showing that you have enough income to support the alien you are sponsoring. I do not think that asking for your application fees to be waived will be a good idea, specially if you HAVE the money.

I sent in the aff of support with it - & my moms as well, just to provide enough income, we didnt have the money that is why I asked for the fee waiver, but am trying to get the money if needed. I just wondered if anyone else had ever used the "fee waiver" USCIS told me about it and said that I could use it if needed -
