  • Petions touched

    Hello folks,
Okay, what does it mean when when USCIS touches your petition 3 times in 4 days, what can they be doing?? Name checks, RFE?, Em I getting my hopes up to high for a approval soon???? But they are only touching my I-129F and not my I-130. I applied for a K3 Visa for my husband.
maybe approval soon only on I-129F
    Any thoughts out there?????

    Beth,
I think you will get your approval notice for K3 very soon. Not sure about I-130 though.

I dont think I130 really gets "touched" they just make it pend and pend and pend until BOOM!!!!! YOU ARE APPROVED!

I wish they would quit touching it and approval the **** thing!!!!!!
Alot of filers on another forum also got touched the same days as I did, but so far no approvals for anyone touched April 11, 13, & 14.
Oh well, more waiting, and waiting for them to updated their processing times. Lets see if they go backwards as they did last month.

Hi bethy - You sent your I-129F to VSC on 2/25/2008 and received NOA1 the next day (2/26/2008)?? Thats surprisingly very very fast.

I hardly go to USCIS site to check the last updated date but after a few messages today regarding it I decided to do so. My K3 application received date is 01/28/08. Last touched on 04/16/2008 that is today. I already got I-130 approved on 04/08/08. When I called USCIS, they said the processing of I-129F on this case will stand cancelled. mmh!!

CANCELLED???? Why cancelled??? I've heard rumors of them cancelling petitions once 1 petition is approved. Does not make sence? Isnt that the reason we file 2 petitons for a K3 and faster processing.

Glad atleast you got approved. When and what processing center approved your petition???

                        VSC processing times

All - Has anyone contacted VSC in last 2 days to see exactly what the processing times are for I-130 and I-129F? I called the national customer service number on 4/15 and was told that processing timeframe for I-129F is August 19, 2007 and for I-130 is July 30, 2007. However on the USCIS website, the processing time for I-129F is September 17,2007. This is a big contradiction to what is reported on the website and what the call center reps are saying. When I told the call center rep about this discrepancy she said that I might be looking at the "wrong" service center!! How stupid do they think we are!!!!!!! Also, have you guys noticed that even though they are supposed to update the website on the 15th or 16th of every month, the actual refresh of the website doesnt actually happen until end of the month or until first or second week of next month!! USCIS has got to be the most lazy, deceptive, rude, and most inefficient organization within the US government. OK i just had to gripe about this so I could feel better, now back to work and practicing patience

                          Pratek,
I understand your frustrations, nobody can give a straight answer. Last month the processing dates went a month back in time. And its anybodys guess when they will be updated this month.

I have seen January filers already approved in March. Its crazy. There is no order seems to be of processing. Probley they grab the ones off the dusty shelf that is fixing to fall off or something. There are K3 filers from September and August still waiting for approvals. But yet K1 filers in VSC are being approved in 11 days the earliest, shows their processing dates of petitions are WRONG!!!!
As I think folks, get your comfortable PJ's on, get in your chair, and hang on , its gonna be a bumpy ride.

Now I feel better, I will get back to work also.
