  • Priority Date Blank

I sent to the Vermont Center

    Received date: 10/9/07

    Notice date: 1/10/08

Priority Date: BLANK!!!!! IS THIS NORMAL????? They left it blank! Should I call about it?

When looking at processing dates on USCIS...should I look at my Received date or Notice date? October or January?

    THANKS!

P.S. (One last question! On my receipt notice where it says Section: it says Husband or wife of U.S. Citizen, 201(b) INA......is this 201(b) INA correct? I don't even know what it means. Is that what other peoples' says?

Your receipt date is your priority date.

        THANKS YA'LL!!!!! =)

As of yesterday......I realized that USCIS has many many incompitent people working for them. Actually....I wouldnt say I realized this yesterday but.....I made it official yesterday.

After calling about 30 times with questions and having people look me up on the system....yesterday some lady repeatedly tells me i am not yet in the system. I thought perhaps she had my receipt number wrong but she didnt. And I was like....HELLOOOOOO LADY, THEY HAVE LOOKED ME UP PLENTY OF TIMES! I AM IN THE SYSTEM. She was like NO! Thennnnn i call again and some other lady picks up....i tell her what happened and she looks me up....of course, I am in the system. The other lady didn't know what she was talking about. OMG and the same lady told me.....you filed to Cali right? I was like....Vermont. She then argues with me that no I130 is in Vermot. That I130s are all at Cali......ARGGGGG!!!! She was sooooo clueless.

A few weeks ago....I called and some person insisted that my processing date corresponds with my NOTICE DATE not my RECEIVED DATE...which is totally wrong. I argued with the person but he refused to agree with my or listen to me.

Then......some lady a fews ago tells me.....THE PROCESSING DATES ON THE SITE ARE WRONG! We are not looking at July 30 2007 for spouse I130.....we are still in 2006. HOW INSANE IS THAT!!!!!

USCIS needs to hire people that know what they are talking about. Half of us, on this forum know more about the I130 and k3 process than they do. I am getting frustrated.

I felt the need to share that =P

        Enjoy!

You can talk to everybody there at USCIS, and you will NEVER get the same answer twice. We pay for the filing fees and aggravation!!!
          Oh waht a treat!!!!!

            Selin08,
In the Section part of receipt, mine says same thing. Not sure what it is, but I think its the section in their USICS Regulations of Immigration.
At least it looks like how U.S. Customs has their regulation book set up simiular to this and regulation codes for Importing goods. Its all under DHS.
All one great big agency with seprate departments, and seprate duties. Oh yeah and seprate aggravations.
            Thats my educated guess.

If this process did ony take 5 months I would be happy.
