    Standard security clearance time?

    Hi,

    My American fiance and I are just about to start applying for my K1 visa.
    I know that because of the nature of his job in the USA I will need to go through security clearance. Considering that I have never been arrested, broken the law in any way, etc, how long does this process usually take?
