  • Recent Timelines I-129F

I FedEx'd my I-129F application to the California Service Center in Laguna, CA on Tuesday May 27th, 2008. Friday the 30th I got my I-797C in my mailbox with a receipt date of May 28th. One day? Needless to say my chin hit the floor in amazement on that one!

I am curious about recent timelines however, especially anyone who has filed this year (2008). Everything I read here seems to be only people who filed years ago or at best last year. Anyone filed in Feb, Mar or April of 2008? I expect at least a 60 to 90 day approval. I called them and asked and they said if my application was perfect and contained all the proper documents that is. It was... <grin>

    Timelines

Best guess for you is first half of November to have 129F approved. I suggest you Google immigration timelines and look farther down the list past the first ones that come up. You'll find some very good data. California is behind Vermont right now.

Wow. That long huh? I have talked to a couple of people that told me theirs only took 90 days from the receipt date. One guy told me 60 days from the receipt date. Others have said they have been waiting from 8 months to a year. I guess these things are all over the board and depends on the completeness of the application, it's complexity, what employee picked it up from the pile etc.. So many variables. No pattern I can see anyway.

This would be a good time to have someone inside the Service Center who owes us a favor huh? HaHaHa

      Thanks for the info!
