Is it a definite RFE?

Hi Guys,

Does anybody know if filling out "N/A" instead of "none" on 129F form means a definite RFE??
I read some stories about people actually getting RFE's for that...???

That makes no sense. Sometimes you must answer "none" and sometimes "Not Applicable N/A"... there is a slight difference, but they are not going to cause an unmerited RFE.

I swear I saw it with my own eyes - my friend who has also applied for K1 for his fiancee received RFE last week where N/A's are circled in red and marked with "please change to "none" and "N/A" is insufficient answer!!
I was shoked, too!!!! I agree that this is crazy. I have been doing some reaserach on-line over the last couple of days, and you will be surprised how many people claim they have got RFE's for that!
So I was wondering if there is anyone out there who used "N/A"'s and yet had not received any RFE's...???

Perhaps other people read instructions more carefully than we did before filling in I 129F. Apparently, in sample forms it says to state "none" for former spouses and the same thing applies to "fiance minor children" (in case when there are none). I marked both boxes with N/A, and not "none". Considering the waiting time is so long, it would be especially dissapointing to receive FFE for someting like that....

CIS is under increasing scrutiny by conoffs to get tough, and it seems that they are. Let's take a question, for example:

How many children do you have? 3, 2, 1, 0 (none). Not applicable seems like an evasive answer to a very simple and straight forward question. How is it that this question doesn't apply?

What shocked me was seeing that 23% of the petition revocation requests made by conoffs are actually sustained by the CIS. It's a far higher # than what I had in mind. Guess, not all conoffs = con officers.

Sure! If I am asked "how many children do you have", my answer to that is either 1,2,3 or none. However, if they ask to list all names of children in I 129F, and I don't have any, N/A is what I put there. My friend did the same and got RFE for that!
