How long can my fiance child stay in China before K2 visa expires?

I am marrying a woman from China, but her daughter is not coming to America right away. I've read that when we apply for a K1 visa it would be a good time to apply for a K2 visa for her daughter. Does her daughter have to come with her mother or can she wait? And for how long? Also, will she need to be here to apply her her green card (she is 15yrs old)?

Yes, apply for K1 for your wife to be and K2 for your step daughter and if they get the visas they will come at the same time. The thing though is that you will have to get married within 90 days upon her arrival to America. And once thats done then they can both apply to change their status to permanent resident.

Save yourself a LOT of trouble and have them both come in at the same time. She needs to be here to adjust her status from K2 and obtain a GC.
