Hello, I'm just starting the process of the K1, K2 visa process. I have a couple questions; Should I get an attorney to help us go through the process? If not, is there any site or organizations which would be of some help? This site is quite helpfull, but this is all new to us. My fiance is from China, is the process any different in that country? Thanks

No you do not need an attorney. You can do it yourself. But if you do decide on using one, make sure that he/she are AILA members. USCIS is federal, so you do not need to use an attorney from your state. When I first filed my I-129F, I did not receive my fiance packet. I hired an "attorney" who got $1600 from me to file a I-824 (i think) all he did was put that famous blue paper in front of the form. After one year I finally got the packet. You can find other sites with more info....
