  • I-130 Approved & i-129 F in RFE Status

    Hi,
I'm apply for my wife's K-3 visa and submitted the I-130 to start the process. After receiving the I-797C, Notice of action, I filed the I-129F. I just checked the case status online to find out
=> the I-130 was approved on Aug 1st (approval notice was mailed but I have not yet received) and
=> the I-129F is in RFE on Aug 6th (notice mailed out but I have not received as yet)

My question since the I-130 is approved...
=> Is the best option to proceed with consular processing?
=> Can I have my wife visit me in the next few weeks (no visa required as she is an Australian citizen) and just file the I-485? Is this even recommended?

Your assistance is appreciated. If I have left out any other (better) option let me know that as well.

    Regards,
    Troy

I suggest you just wait till the whole process is done. Visiting you when the process is underway is not a good idea. If the 1-130 is approved i am sure the same message will be conveyed to the American embassy in Australia and then they will send the packet with all the details for her interview.

      Thanks for the response

Thanks JoAnn. So, I take it from your response that the K3 route is a moot point and use consular processing (since the I-130 is approved.) Correct?
