No No No! If you marry in the Philippines you will come back to the states alone and petition for her so that she can get to the states with a K3 visa which will talk 8 - 12 months. Alternative you can petition for her to come to the states on K1 visa which the waiting time is anywhere from 1 - 6 months ( depends with the office handling you case) and if she gets here with K1 visa you have to get married within 90 days upon her arrival and then you can fill for her to change her status to permanent resident. Whatever you decide good luck!

You might want to read up on the different K1/K3 visa process and how it actually works. You just can't marry someone and bring them back with you without them having a visa to travel. Unless you're saying that you're going to stay there until it's all done(K3 visa petition), but there is also rules on where you have to be when filing for the K3 visa after you're married.
and this is from immihelp site as well.. Umm... why are links to helpful sites being deleted??? We're here to help people out and point them to the right direction, so it doesn't make sense to edit peoples post if it's pointing to helpful sites! *sigh.. so much for trying to help people out... good luck everyone...
Filing - Two Petitions are RequiredThis is AFTER you're married for a K3 Visa

You must first file an immigrant Petition for Alien Relative, form I-130 for your spouse with the USCIS Office that serves the area where you live. The USCIS will send you a Notice of Action (Form I-797) receipt notice. This notice tells you that the USCIS has received the petition.

You next file Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), form I-129F for your spouse and children. Send the I-129F petition, supporting documents and a copy of the Form I-797 receipt notice to this Department of Homeland Security USCIS Address on their web site.

Each of the contracting parties shall file separately a sworn application for each license with the proper local civil registrar. Philippine law prescribes a ten-day waiting period from the filing of the Application to the issuance of the marriage license. The license is valid for 120 days from date of issuance and may be used anywhere in the Philippines.

Now depending on whether you want to do a church wedding or just a civil/court wedding, also plays into the mix of how much longer you have to wait before getting married.

          Somebody is wrong...

I read it from an official government website that handles these things all the time that if you are married your wife can travel with you and stay in the US with me while all of the paperwork is being processed!!!

Maybe I am not posting this at the right part of this forum, I also heard it from countless people that told me the same thing !!!

Well, judging from your response, you didn't even bother to go to the links and read up on the process...

No, you're posting this at the right part of the forum.. you're just not grasping the concept on the process of getting your SO to the US(I was confuse @ the beggining myself) and you're still stuck on what those countless people told you, and it sounds like they didn't tell you the whole process, or they did this before 9/11, lots of things change after that..... I did give you a link to an Official Goverment Website, that states exactly what I was telling you and qouoted in my previous post.... and, as I posted in my previous response, the link to the forum where it deals with the immagrations process from the Philippines, you will see alot of people there in the same boat as you waiting to get their SO to the US after they get married and had applied for the K3 visa..

Yes, you're correct that youre WIFE CAN travel with you and wait for the process to finish, but that is AFTER she gets her K3 visa to TRAVEL...it's a long process... From what I've read, you can not enter the USA without some form of visa--K1/K3/K4/HB1..etc.. unless you're a US Citizen..Also, the Philippines will not let youre SO leave the country unless she has a VISA to travel to the US.... so either way, she'll be stuck there in the Philippines while she waits for her visa to get approved... there are other ways, but they fall under fraudulent use of a VISA... and being barred from entering the US is not what you're trying to do for your SO....

I thought the same thing too as I was starting my process(and I'm sure we read the same info somewhere), but the fastest way to get your SO is to the US is with a K1(fiance), reading on the web on other forums, K3 is a little bit longer process...

I've given you 3 good links that should get you all straight with how the whole process goes with regards to brining your wife to the US... there's no need to get defensive, we're just trying to help you get on the right path...
