I have sent in the I129 through my attorney. It is at the vermont office, I got the reciept for July 31

My question is .. I have read on here alot saying they got approved then had the meeting at the embassy.. Could you please explain what this means?

I am american and my fiance is British.

Thankyou Nicole for your reply, I have read what you sent me and yes that has helped me alot to understand the process. I am in England now with my fiance and am allowed to stay until December so we are hoping but not expecting things to be close to done by then.

He came to america 3 times during 2007 , we was going to be married on may 3 of this year and then do the I130, the lawyer had adviced this but he was told not to leave the country. Something happened and he had to return the day before the wedding which gave him a overstay of about 158 days on his I94. The lawyer says this shouldnt be a problem so we are keeping positive.

I have read many of your post and all of your information is helpful so thankyou for that. I guess now we just wait and see what happens and always hope for the best.
