  • Filing 129f

I am filing for k3 for my spouse. i just have a couple of questions:

    1. In my packet i am sending pictures of civil and religious wedding pictures, honeymoon pictures, cell phone bills, copy of phone cards, western union reciepts of money sent to my wife, marriage certificate, I-129f, G325a for my wife and I, copy of passport and flight itineries for the times i have visted my wife, copy of leave of abscense from work when i went to be with my spouse for a month, copy of 401 and life insurance show my wife as beneficiary. Would there be anything else i should include in my package?

    2. I heard that if you supply alot of info, that your chances of getting approved quick are more likely. I heard that it is possible to get approved within a month. Is this true?

    3. My wife has moved to my home since the religious wedding. there is no address for that home because it is a small town and no street names. how do i list an address for my wife on the g-325a?

    4. I am about to go on a leave of abscense from work to live with my spouse until her paperwork is approved. should there be anything i should know while i am away? (my mom will be getting my mail and she would inform me of anything)

    Thanks for any info

    Sounds very complete.

    2. I heard that if you supply alot of info, that your chances of getting approved quick are more likely. I heard that it is possible to get approved within a month. Is this true? I don't think so. They don't pick and choose based on who has the fattest file. It's by date order for the most part. The length of time depends on which service center, how accurate and complete all your forms are, if you send in the right fee, and how big the workload is at the time you filed. People filing K1s a month before me got USCIS approval in a month, mine took 50 days, and people filing a month after me are taking 90-100 days. The times ebb and flow. Some have even suggested that if you over-do the evidence with too many things, it takes them longer to go through your file. You, know they say "OH Geez, that looks complicated. I think I'll do this smaller one now."
    3. My wife has moved to my home since the religious wedding. there is no address for that home because it is a small town and no street names. how do i list an address for my wife on the g-325a? Figure out an address for her because if you don't put one, your petition will be incomplete and they won't process it. They will send you a request for more evidence if you leave out anything and that will cause unnecessary delay. Use a relatives address or something, like you plan to do. The foreign Embassy will use that address to mail her information or forms for the interview and medical. How will she get her forms. This is dependent on the country. Some let you call in for an interview date, but most send a letter or forms to the beneficiary.
    4. I am about to go on a leave of abscense from work to live with my spouse until her paperwork is approved. should there be anything i should know while i am away? (my mom will be getting my mail and she would inform me of anything) You should know that you have to show a certain current income or assets to be able to support her. If you're not working, can you show that on the required Affidavit of Support? Thanks for any info
    Good luck

thank you for all the info. About the support, I heard that a family member can fill out for. Is this true? It will be my step dad filling it out for me.
