My Fiancee is arriving at the Atlanta Airport on Saturday 8/16/08, Does any one know the immigration process for K1 visa at the POA?

I have read that Atlanta is very busy in the afternoon, so the wait could be more than an hour at that time of day. Others have gotten through in 15 minutes. She will need to have her brown envelope of her file the embassy gives her. She will go to the visitors line at immigrationand show her passport and I-94 and customs form she was given to fill out on the plane. She tells them that she is entering on a K1 visa. Then she will have to go to an area for further processing. She will get her luggage while down there. They are reported to be very nice and may ask few questions like "when do you plan to get married?" "what does your fiance do" or "how much cash have you brought with you?". Note: you are not taxed on any cash, it's just a formality because any cash over $10k has to be reported by law. It has to do with money laundering and such. Again, you are not charged or taxed so don't try to hide things from Customs. Some people have reported no questions were asked. Most say Atlanta is very friendly and easy except for having to wait and missing connecting flights.
