Financial Support for Fiancee ( K-1 )
Hi! My son is egaged to a woman in the UK. He is presently on disability and I hope that he can get the petition for a K-1. How can he meet the financial support requirement if his earnings are only from disability? I am willing to be a sponsor. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Disability payments can count as income because that's not a means-tested benefit. That means he isn't getting payments because he is poor like food stamps. He must make 125% of the poverty guidelines. If it's him and his fiance, then for a family of two on the chart. If she has children then add on for them.
You can be a co-sponsor and your income must meet above, and your family size must count the fiance plus children if applicable.

My children receive SSI from their mother who died 6 years ago, can this be counted.
From my business I only take what I need to add to their SSI for us to live on, and it is below the income guide lines.Comment
