I130 approved

My i-130 was approved. Now i am going into the process of income, I want to know if you can use ssi disability as one of my sources of income. I am employed but have a disabled child, My annual income from work is not enough alone to sponsor. I do receive child support and i know i can use that as my income and with that i will qualify for this year. My income for the previous year will not be enough, so i will use this years, I read on the application you can use your income for this year? If I make enough for this year, do i still need a joint sponsor. We have someone who will joint sponsor us, so should i still use him if i qualify for this year alone?
