Query of forwarded NVC & Assigement of Case Number

Dear All

1) How can I know that my form(I-130) is forwarded to NVC?

2) How can I know that I have been assigned case number? Approximatly how much time will take to complete assigment of case to forwarding of case to consulate in India?

In my case, I called the automated telephone number 1 603-334-0700. Follow the directions and they will ask for your USCIS case number, enter that number and if you have been assigned a case number for NVC, they will tell you then and let you know the status of your case. Good luck
