hello. my fiancee and i just got married, she has a k-1 visa. now i would like to fill up the form I-765 (employment authorization) and the form I-485 (adjust status). the question i have, is it ok to submit those papers at the same time or should i do the I-765 first? can she get het SSN now even though she dont have a work permit? i would like her to drive now coz they need her SSN for getting a drivers license. with regards with the form I-485, do her kids have to apply individually (she have 2 kids: 15 yrs old n 10 yrs old) with her? but on the form of I-485, theres a question on part 3, b : List your present husband/wife, all of your sons and daughters (If you have none, write "none." If additional space is needed, use separate paper : theres a box to mark if they were applying with you.
but on the front page on the instructions, theres an instruction that says : $930 plus a biometrics fee of $80; the fee total is $1,010. Exceptions listed below. There is no fee for applicants who are filing Form I-485 based on having been admitted to the United States as a refugee. Applicants 80 years of age or older are not charged a biometric fee; the fee total is $930. Applicants under 14 years of age: - Filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $600 - Not filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $930 .
so, is this mean that they have to apply with their own I-485 but they have to apply with her so that the payments will be discounted for the 10 year old, but the 15 years old will be a total of $1,010 same price as her mom?
i guess thats about it for now. thanks for all ur input. will be waiting. thanks for reading my headaches. lol. have a nice day.
