How do I prepare for application transfer to embassy?

It has been almost four months since i have sent my K1 visa application to the California Service Center.
Hoping that all will fall into place within the next couple of months, I am trying to prepare for what's to come. I am having difficulty finding info on what I can do and have ready so that I do not waste time when I receive my approval letter.
Any advice will be of great help. Thank You!

How do I prepare transfer to embassy?

Actually, you do not do anything to transfer the case. Once, USCIS has everything and approves you case, they will forward it to the embassy. You just need to make sure that you all have your paperwork in order. The affidavit of support, tax returns, Tax form or 1099, etc. Once it is approved, you should call or e-mail the embassy to see what the procedure will be for an interview. Right now this is where my case stands. He is waiting for a call from the ambassy for the interview. He turned in the paperwork on 9/18/08. They only accept documents on Fridays from 8am to 11 am or something like that. One day a week and a couple of hours. So, read up on the specifics so that you wil be prepared. Good Luck.
