I am in the uk and intend to marry my long time girlfriend who is a us citizen living in florida, we intend to marry in Niagra canada next year, she returning to usa and me to uk after the wedding / honeymoon. my question is, I have read that she will have to petion for me to join her and i will have to apply for a visa FROM the COUNTRY THE WEDDING TOOK PLACE! i.e. CANADA!, how can i do this from the uk? any help or advice would be great

I have re-read, if you refer about the canada bit and the applying from the country you married in, why is this stated on a us govt website?
it says "must apply for their visas at the US Embassy or Consulate in the foreign country where the marriage took place or, if there is no consular post in that country, at a post designated by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services".
