    Hello Fatima.

I'd say that you should consult with a lawyer for advice in this matter.
But for my personal belief, i think as of right now he's earning less money than necessary.. I dont know how many kids he has but if the household would be only you and him he'd have to earn around $17.500 in a year. And its more money for each kid that he has. So you should look into that. And once again. I am NOT an expert in this area. Talk to a lawyer.

ALL That consulate's business is to deduct the alimony and child support from petitioner's income to see if petitioner meets his income requirements, and if petitioner does, issue the visa. Whether petitioner actually pays his alimony and child support is a matter among him, his ex and her state, not the consulate.

A visa can be refused only upon a ground specifically set out in the law or implementing regulations -- Basis for Refusal, 22 CFR ยง 40.6

I heard of a couple of interesting child support cases today that I couldn't help but share. Through a DNA paternity test, this man finds out that the child isn't really his, so he sues his ex for $14,000, the child support he had paid thus far. Judge not only denies his claim to the paid child support and to waive the future payments, he revokes his visitation rights because the child isn't his.

In another case, a lesbos couple has a child thru artificial insemination and then sues the donor for child support and wins.

Think I've already talked about the American businessman now living in China, whose US passport renewal was withheld because he owed $300,000 in child support back in the US.
