previous I-693 form

Good day..

The USEM here has given me the old I-693 medical form. From what I gathered, another petition was approved using that form and she was given the visa but now that she is filling for AOS, they said she will have to do the medical over b/c they are not accepting the old form.

Any insights on this? Should I let the embassy know? I am not finish with the medical yet. But Im due to go back in to see the Doctor on Monday.

I don't quite understand your post, so the following information is for a K1/K3 who is in the US filing for AOS. The medical form for an exam in a foreign country is not the I-693. That form is only used by Civil Surgeons in the US.

If you look at the USCIS website and find the forms page, you will find the very latest forms. The whole medical forms changes, new TB skin test requirement, etc. is way too involved for me to explain here. I suggest you look at the USCIS.gov and look up everything you can find for the latest info. You do not have to have another medical if your medical for the visa is less than 12 months ago. But you do need your vaccinations transcribed by a civil surgeon onto the new I-693 form in the vaccination section. There used to be a form I-693A to do the vaccinations on, but that is out and vaccinations are part of the new I-693. Unfortunately most Civil Surgeons don't want to do just the vaccination part, so they tell you they will only do the whole medical at a cost of several hundred dollars. I know people that have called 10 civil surgeons and can't find one willing to just fill in the vaccination sections, even though the USCIS webpages clearly say that is all a K1 or K3 needs.

If you are going to pay for a whole new medical, then by all means print the new I-693 from /show-form/i-693 and fill in your information and take it with you for the doctor to complete.
