  • Law Firm or no?

    Hi to all,
Me and my fiance have known each other for over 3 yrs now and I was in the military, met her, already went to visit her, got pretty much all we need to start the process. I got a house and I have a good paying job and my question is if the best way to go is through paying a law firm or any body else that assist in k-1 visas to help us through the process?? My opinion is "no" cause our backgrounds are clear, my income is well over the 2008 poverty guideline but also i don't want to get to sure about doing it ourselves cause i am crazy about her and whatever it takes, I'll do. If anyone has advice it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Whether be it K1 or K3 - "do it yourself" is not really very hard. I did my own. Forms are very simple and self-explanatory. Why spend extra money on attorney, unless you have issue which needs attorneys help?

      do it yourself

Yes do the paper work yourself, the papers are not hard and you will tend to be more careful and know the answers easy because it is about you and your loved one. If you read past experieince here with lawyers you will find great disapointment. The uscis will encourage you to do the paperwork yourself. It seeems this is the best way to avoid delays in the process. Just make sure you look at the times that they want your place of residence for your alien fiance/spouse. and pay close attention to all the details and paper work they will require. You will be just fine and if you get stuck on something come here and aks you will find great support on this site.

      Good luck
